Reel Sessions presents, in collaboration with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), the newest Strong is Beautiful campaign. Following last year’s original campaign, which featured only WTA players in action, this campaign presents several celebrities from beyond the world of tennis. The line-up includes musicians Aretha Franklin, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Nadine Coyle, and Constantine Maroulis; business magnates Donald Trump and Sir Richard Branson; actors Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon, and Bridget Moynahan; producers Randy Jackson and Timbaland; golfer Rory McIlroy; DJ Bob Sinclar; and WTA founder Billie Jean King. Key WTA players were also included: Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Kim Clijsters, Caroline Wozniacki, Li Na, Victoria Azarenka, Agnieszka Radwanska, Sam Stosur, Petra Kvitova, and Ana Ivanovic. The Celebrity Campaign highlights each personality’s achievements, showing their own experiences of how strong is beautiful.

The past weekend welcomed The 48 Hour Film Project, which started 6pm at Dim Mak Studios. The competition invited 1600 filmmakers to produce a film in only two days. As if the time constraint wasn’t challenging enough, they were required to use a given prop, genre, character, and line of dialogue within their film. Submissions will be screened and judged at Laemmle’s Noho 7 Theater from August 13th to the 16th and compete for a trophy, screenwriting software, and a screening at Filmapalooza 2013. Check out the details on the website here.

Premiering at Leicester Square in London, the event will be announcing the winners within three categories: Campaign Braves, Content Braves, and Technical Braves. The BRAVE, or the Brand and Video Awards, aims to commemorate the use of video by brands. The Campaign category recognizes the best use of video in advertising, while the Content highlights the art direction and aesthetics.
